Here’s a new Ad from 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX. Yes… You CAN find many similar unofficial commercials. As the idea of showing the various reactions of a casual person during some extreme driving is getting pretty popular.
Some time ago I asked myself a question: What’s going on with Honda? Hoping that this weird trend Honda was presenting in recent years will somehow get reversed. Hoping that they will announce a new S2000 – faster, lighter and… better. That TypeR badge will fight back for it’s name – to lead again in the class. And instead, they release CR-Z model… (and here I should put some fancy “facepalm” jpg to express my feelings more precisely). Read more…
Ford is full of surprises. After launching the RS version of Focus, which was claimed to be the best hot hatch on the market, they go further. Focus RS is still the most powerful compact car and best handling FWD car on the roads… ever, and that just wasn’t enough. They decided to make something more extreme (than 300 HP on FWD?).
A new limited version of RS500 is about to be released! For ma as a RS biggest fan, this is jus “WOW!” I wonder what will the tuners do when they get their hands on this toy What is the HP limit in this class? Just “WOW!” Read more…
I would like to write a little review of 2009 Renault Megane Coupe. As I noticed there isn’t much noise over the Internet about this car. You have Toyota, Honda, Fiat and VW everywhere in the media, magazines, youtube, forums… and what is the most disturbing, on the roads. And Renault? Just few short reviews around the premiere date and afterwards… nothing – complete silence. And I assure You that it’s not about their cars being worse than these mentioned above. A little warning is needed here in the beginning: This review will be extremely subjective. Read more…
It’s been a while since I wrote anything… Busy time. Sorry for this silence. Some editorials will be here shortly. But for today… I just bumped into the “2010 Car of the year award” info on some website. And I’m shocked…The winner: VW Polo?
Car of the year award is considered to be “the Oscar” of auto industry. Group of 59 experts (auto journalists) from 23 countries, vote for the best car of the year. It’s that simple. But… in case of this year’s choice, if You check the particular points assigned to all of the nominated cars (here), You will see the problem.
It’s been a while without any post. It’s just that, there actually were not many interesting news to write about recently (?) World went crazy for EVs, which aren’t quite my point of interest. Reading about another huge hybrid from BMW, Mercedes or Lexus are pretty boring. Hot hatches segment seems to be old-fashioned somehow… Too cheap to be hybrids… Too expensive during the “global crisis”…
But there is a light of hope. More news on Toybaru have just arrived… and they are promising. Read more…
And here comes yet another version of Fiat (Abarth) 500. It’s getting more and more difficult to choose a car these days. In this particular case (talking about Fiat 500) the emerging versions seem to have no end.
You can have regular 500 or “cabrio” version. If You like more edge – You can choose Abarth 500. Still not satisfied? You can have the Assetto or Esseesse tuning package installed, by Your local dealer, if the original raw version is not enough for You. In few months Abarth 500 will be available in “cabrio” version . Read more…
Here You will find another commercial. But somehow it feels uncomfortable to call it this way. See for Yourself what did the creative marketing team produce for BMW… It looks like they were working for someone else… What did they want to say? That BMW owner is an idiot who doesn’t know how to use door? Or that they just started producing cars that have no door (or at least usable ones)? Above all that, after the series of these unnecessary stunts, they are still brave enough to show their competition?
Some more news on the topic have just appeared. Toyota has just released the first official photos of the FT-86 model. As You probably know by now, I’m not Toyota’s biggest fan. So I find this car as a first step to change my opinion about this automaker. As You could read on Carsoblog some time ago – this near-production coupe will be co-developed by Toyota and Subaru. Also it will be sold under these two badges separately. And what is the best news and worth waiting for – it’s planned to make its world debut at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month. Read more…
Considering their content, they are pretty nice to watch. In both cases VW is showing groups of young people. Talking about new way of living, style, mentioning ecology… Or showing the car to work like chick magnet Why do I post them here? What makes them worth mentioning along 500 other commercials. These 2 don’t fit the car at all. This is a VW – what means: it’s boring as watching polish soccer team play. Read more…
