Good news for muscle car enthusiasts living on the “Old Continent”: New Camaro is officially coming to Europe next year!
No precise date is known yet. Neither the pricing. We know that in the US it’s sold for a while now with 3 engine versions to choose from. Weakest one (3.6l V6) produces 304 BHP. There is also V8 available (400 BHP automatic and 426 BHP manual).
The pricing starts from 23k USD and goes up to 36k USD. Ehhh… the US prices – must love them. Probably in Europe the prices will reach 40-50k euro (that’s about twice as much as in US!!!) – so it will be pretty expensive. Especially knowing the US price difference, it seems outrageous.
I really don’t understand the US guys that could design this piece of art. Give it this retro look… It looks way better than new Mustang, and slightly better than Challenger. But AS USUAL they forgot to do something with the interior. Driving wheel looks funny, pedals – no comment… It all looks like from the ’80s… And there is a problem with quality and materials as well. I know that every market has it’s features and taste. But You have to put the interior in the car any way. Why not giving it a little more attention and looks? You spend about 5% of Your life looking at it 
But “US interiors” is a topic for another blog post, so I save it for later…

Would I buy one?
I’m a fan of hot hatches, that with less power than the Camaro need to be composed better. More extreme (low engine capacity – high HP), agile, turbocharged… Camaro is a muscle car… pure horse power… Big engine, no turbo, low mpg… I was afraid that this was another master of the straight muscle car (like Mustang). That accelerates great, but doesn’t know what to do afterwards – is afraid of turns and braking. And this one isn’t… It’s the first classic muscle car “remake” that is actually good to drive. All the reviews were positive. In all comparisons Camaro was better than Mustang and Challenger.
So… of course I would buy one! Just look at it again…

You forget about all the downsides immediately (EU prices and the interior). If You’ve seen the new Transformers movie, You know what I mean. This car probably has more screen time than Megan Fox
