Quiz question: did Prius invent the electric engine supporting regular combustion engine?

Ofcourse not. Every diesel locomotive has electric engine, that directly propells the wheels. Diesel is only energy source here… This way it’s easier to manipulate the torque, which in trains is a key grip factor. The concept is known for decades!

Fuel cell car also mentioned?

First such car was produced in… 1966 by GM! (link). Toyota for these technologies… invented… Hmmmm… NOTHING. They are just using them to produce some ugly hybrid… and fuel cell prototypes…
